Architechture, Interior, Landscape & Execution
The Architecture of Villa Aradhana located outside Shimla, Himachal Pradesh reflects the region's extreme terrain and climate.Like the vast majority of vernacular houses in Himachal, the mountain house is oriented with their longest side facing the valley and their backs against the mountain, which makes them less susceptible to seismic forces.
Projecting balconies form a transitional space between the inside and the outside and help conserve heat, while the grey slate pitched roof disperse snow and also echoes the mountain profiles around it.
The play of pine wood cladding and stone masonry , a pure combination of two of the most fundamental materials of structures in the region makes the house blend effortlessly among the pine trees and the contoured terrain.
